Advancing precision medicine for Parkinson’s

Project: Improving patient-centric disease models

Aim

To develop improved patient-centric disease models to reduce the attrition of disease-modifying therapies in clinical trials.

Approach

To develop and share new models of Parkinson’s that more accurately reflect the human experience of the disease, and that align with the biological subtyping of Project 2, to allow precision medicine assessment and improve the translation of disease-modifying therapies in clinical trials.

Investigators

Outcome

This project aims to develop precision models of Parkinson’s to assess the impact of new therapies for both biological and physiological impacts by generating much needed models of Parkinson’s that accurately reflect Parkinson’s subtypes.

These models will be shared as valuable resources to the international Parkinson’s research community.
