Our aim is to contribute to educating the broader community about medical research and health – an informed community is essential for a robust and healthy society.

CRISPR 101: Online learning course

CRISPR is a genome editing tool that allows scientists to cut and paste (or edit) DNA. It can be used for scientific research and has huge potential to help diagnose and treat many genetic diseases.

The CRISPR 101 online learning course will introduce you to the basic principles of how genome editing and CRISPR technologies work.

The course is designed for people who have an interest in learning more about CRISPR and have minimal scientific background. This comprehensive course is designed so you can complete it at your leisure. You can access the course whenever and as often as you like. The course is free and you don’t need to register. It takes 2-5 hours to complete.

After completing the course, you will have an understanding of CRISPR and some of the many applications of this technology, including how scientists at WEHI are using it every day.

Fundamentals of Flow Cytometry

Flow cytometry is a technique that allows high throughput single cell analysis of cell populations. It has many applications in research and the clinic.

The Fundamentals of Flow Cytometry online learning course will provide you with an understanding of the basics of flow cytometry.

The course is designed for people who have an interest in learning how to design flow cytometry experiments. The course consists of three modules. Completing each module will take you around 30 minutes to one hour on average.
