Highlights from a year of transformation, collaboration and discovery included:

Delivering exemplary science, including solving a decades-long Parkinson’s mystery, uncovering a new malaria vaccine pathway and identifying a potential first preventative treatment for the life-threatening HTLV-1 virus.
WEHI Ventures marking two years of operation, managing the largest internal pre-seed and seed fund in an Australian medical research institute, and establishing a further two spinouts: Nelcanen and Togglelux.
The establishment of the Independent Scientific Advisory Board, a pivotal body comprising Australian and international experts to provide guidance on our strategy, translation and partnerships.
