Careers Beyond Academia: A Seminar with Mexec

Researchers considering career paths beyond academia are invited to attend this seminar, presented by Damian Doyle and Marilyn Jones of Mexec, a specialist executive search and recruitment firm serving the life sciences, medtech, pharmaceutical and technology sectors.

Damian will share his own transition from PhD graduate to executive at ThermoFisher Scientific. Marilyn will then present an overview of industry career pathways available to postdoc-level researchers and the skills most valued by employers in these roles. The session will conclude with an open discussion, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions and gain a recruiter’s perspective on their own career considerations.
