Dr Steven Ngo completed his PhD at the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases (ACBD, Monash University), under the supervision of A/Prof Ross Dickins and Prof Benjamin Kile, where his research focused on investigating mechanisms of relapse in AML murine models of differentiation therapy. In 2021, Dr. Ngo was awarded a Gilead Postdoctoral Fellowship and commenced his Post-Doctoral research at the Francis Crick Institute, London in the Haematopoietic Stem Cell Laboratory under the supervision of Prof. Dominique Bonnet.

His current research focuses on characterising the impact of venetoclax and azacitidine on the bone marrow microenvironment (BME), utilising a multi-omics approach to understand the contribution of the BME in the development of AML resistance to ven/aza therapy.
