Shipments to Australia require specific documentation to clear Australian Customs. We can make it simple with the following instructions and templates.

Biological product (non-infectious)

When shipping non-infectious biological goods to Australia, the following documents are required to clear Australian Customs.

  • 3 x Customs Invoice or Commercial Invoice (Cus Inv) including HS code
  • 3 x Manufacturer’s Declaration (Man Dec)
  • 1 x Import Permit (Permit)

Consumable product

When shipping a consumable to Australia, typically a Customs Invoice or Commercial Invoice (Cus Inv)—in triplet—on the outside of your shipping box will suffice for entry. Please include the product/s HS code on this document.

Product/s that requires a dangerous goods declaration

When shipping hazardous biological or infectious product to Australia, the following documents are required to clear Australian Customs.

  • Customs Invoice (Cus Inv)
  • Dangerous Goods Declaration (DGD)
  • Manufacturer’s Declaration
  • Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
  • Import Permit (if applicable)

Synthetic chemical product (non-hazardous)

When shipping non-hazardous 100% synthetic chemicals to Australia, the following documents are required to clear Australian Customs.

  • 3 x Customs Invoice or Commercial Invoice (Cus Inv) including HS code
  • 3 x Manufacturer’s Declaration (Man Dec)
  • 1 x Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
