About

I am an experienced executive with deep skills in finance, strategy, investment management, Impact investing and ESG across Asia Pacific markets. I have also held several Board Director roles in both commercial and not-for-profit organisations including a current one that focuses on better health outcomes for the people of the Western Province of Papua New Guinea. I am strongly committed to using my finance and investment skills to enable better societal outcomes and this led me to WEHI.

As the CFO of WEHI, my key focus is the financial sustainability of the organisation. A part of this is strengthening WEHI’s financial foundations across our accounts payable and receivable, budgeting and financial analysis, financial reporting and strategic projects. The finance team works to develop strong policies and guidelines and consistently looks for more effective ways of working. Our role is also to support a culture of transparency and shared responsibility for WEHI’s financial management ensuring we all remain focused on using donations and grants efficiently towards delivering scientific excellence.

In addition to finance, my role also includes oversight of the: Risk and Compliance, Legal, Business Development and Commercialisation, and Planning and Performance functions. These areas are highly complementary to finance and critical to the delivery of a sustainable growth strategy for WEHI which enables our important Medical research to be well funded into the future.

I am a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. I received an Order of Australia for my work in Ethical investment in 2020.
