‘Top Melburnian’ gong for WEHI director

Introduction

Professor Doug Hilton AO has been named the 2020 Melburnian of the Year for his leadership and contributions to medical research and the Melbourne community.

He said he was humbled to receive the award, and that it was a reflection of WEHI and the broader scientific community.

The Melburnian of the Year is chosen by the City of Melbourne each year and awarded to an inspirational role model, who has made an outstanding contribution to the city in their chosen field, as well as a significant contribution to the Melbourne community.
