Zoe Grant is a Postdoctoral Scientist in Professor Benoit Bruneau’s lab at the Gladstone Institute of Cardiovascular Disease in San Francisco, USA. She earned her PhD from the University of Melbourne and WEHI in 2019, studying blood vessel growth during development and disease. Her research studying the essential cardiac transcription factor TBX5 is supported by an Additional Ventures Catalyst to Independence Award. In her postdoctoral work, she is using human iPSC models of cardiac development and disease with the goal of uncovering molecular mechanisms of transcription factor haploinsufficiency. This talk will focus on a recent discovery of TBX5 as a dosage-sensitive regulator of cardiac 3D genome folding.
