Dr Victor Dieriks is a Senior Research Fellow and group leader at the Centre for Brain Research, University of Auckland, New Zealand, specialising in Parkinson’s disease. He holds a bioengineering degree, a master’s in commercialisation, and a PhD in Biological Sciences, bringing a multidisciplinary approach to his research. Dr Dieriks leads the Synuclein Lab, focusing on diagnosing different forms of alpha-synuclein in Parkinson’s disease and multiple system atrophy. He aims to unravel the underlying mechanisms and develop novel disease-modifying therapies.
