Professor Gras’ lab is focused on understanding viral infections by viruses that are a health burden to humans such as SARS-CoV-2, Influenza, and HIV. Our work is providing the molecular basis allowing us to understand why some of are at higher risk of developing severe infection dure to those viruses, while some other individuals can remain healthy or barely sick despite the viral infection and have an immune system allowing them to control the infection.

Since 2020 and the discovery of SARS-CoV-2 as the causative agent for COVID, we have learnt a great deal about the infection and the disease, some of the mechanism of disease control, as well as the power of sharing data at the international level to accelerate research. After 4 years, do we have still things to learn about COVID? What else are we missing and that could help us be ready for the next pathogenic emergence or pandemic? Join Prof Stephanie Gras to discover her latest lab work on the immune response to SARS-CoV-2 and COVID vaccine.
