We examine the current state of dynamic ODE models used for parameter estimation and forecasting of Plasmodium vivax malaria. We then build a calibration methodology for multiple new P. vivax transmission models suited to tropical and temperate climates, and use these models to analyse simulated and real data. Our work maximises the potential utility of existing administrative case incidence data to quantify static and dynamic effects in disease transmission that have previously been ignored..
