Dr Vicki Jackson is a senior postdoctoral researcher and Statistical Geneticist, holding a MSc in Medical Statistics and PhD in Genetic Epidemiology. Her research focusses on understanding the genetic basis of a range of human traits and diseases, through statistical analyses of large scale genetic and biological data.

Vicki’s current work spans both complex traits, and rare disease, with a primary focus on investigating the genetic determinants of speech disorders, retinal, and haematological traits, and cancers. Previous work focused on the genetics of respiratory health and smoking behaviour. Vicki has extensive experience of leading analyses of large genetic datasets, and expertise in developing pipelines for undertaking genome-wide association studies (GWAS), polygenic risk scores, and other statistical genetics methods.
