Child Safe Standards

We take care to provide a safe working environment for all staff and students. We are also committed to providing a safe and positive experience for children who visit our Institute through Discovery Tours, school programs, work experience and event attendance.

WEHI:

• has zero tolerance of child abuse;
• will identify risks to child safety early, and work to reduce or remove these risks;
• will treat any allegation or child safety concern seriously; and
• will contact authorities with concerns about a child’s safety.

Our child safe standards policy and code of conduct ensure our staff and students adhere to the Victorian Government standards and helps to protect children from abuse.
