Dr Marion Boyd Wanliss joins the institute’s cancer research effort. Director Charles Kellaway says Wanliss’ work is probably the only cancer research currently being undertaken in Australia.

Early cancer studies

Wanliss holds the John Grice Cancer Research Scholarship. Her research includes studying cancer of the uterus and a malignant disease, affecting certain birds, which holds similarities to tumours found in people.
