Chris and Cheryl Thomas Award

The Chris and Cheryl Thomas Leadership Award honours our most recent past President, Chris Thomas and his wife Cheryl Thomas, who have both made important contributions to WEHI.

This award celebrates Chris’ passion and commitment to develop the next generation of leaders.

Nominees must demonstrate strong leadership qualities and contribute to WEHI beyond their main role. The prize for the award winner(s) is tailored development opportunities to take the next step in their career and further contribute to WEHI’s strategic objectives.

The recipient of the 2024 Chris and Cheryl Thomas Leadership Award is Dr. Charis Teh, with Stephanie Wiradjaja honored as the runner-up.
