Discovery tours

Discovery tours provide a unique opportunity for the community to get in contact with medical research.

We welcome visits from schools, community groups and universities. A minimum of 10 people is required for a tour.

The 2026 tour program is now fully booked. To register your interest in 2027 tours please email events@wehi.edu.au 

We also offer the WEHI DeadlyScience Pathways Program, an immersive three-day experience designed for First Nations secondary school students.

As tour groups visit working laboratories, closed toe shoes must be worn for occupational health and safety reasons. The minimum age for Discovery tour attendees is 12 years old.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Adjustments to bookings can be made up to 14 days prior to the tour date.

There is no parking available on WEHI’s grounds. Limited paid parking is available beneath the institute and along Royal Parade.
