Research Officer / Senior Research Officer - Davis Laboratory

The Davis Laboratory undertakes research projects in computational cancer biology and cancer therapeutics, including the analysis multi-omics and clinical data associated with drug treatments and combination therapies. Active research projects and collaborations in epigenetic engineering, analysis of regulatory networks and signalling, and the study of cancer plasticity and progression present exciting opportunities for developing internationally competitive computational biology research with a strong emphasis on translation.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or Computational Biology, strong computational skills, and experience applying these skills in the analysis of large, complex datasets. The level of appointment will depend on the candidate’s experience.

The position will involve undertaking novel research in computational biology of cancer and working on national and international collaborative research projects, along with opportunities for industry collaboration and graduate student supervision.

The position is available for a period of 3 years in the first instance, with renewal dependent on performance. Up to 17% superannuation and very attractive salary packaging options are available.
