Mascot Server Tools

Here are some tools that might be of use to Mascot users. Users are free to take the tools and/or the source and use them, according to the licensing agreement. The tools are used at the user's own risk.

  • APLToMGFConverter is a GUI program that lets you convert MaxQuant APL (Andromeda peak lists) to MGF (Mascot generic file format) for compatible and comparable searches. Demixing of chimeric spectra is supported. This program is compatible with Microsoft OS platforms.
  • mascotResultDownload is a command line program that lets you download Mascot result (.dat) files. It works on any Mascot server, but defaults to the APCF.
  • Command line tools is a collection of Perl scripts that lets you submit and download Mascot jobs. This is only of use to developers wishing to build their own workflows involving Mascot searches.
