​Dr Markey is a Brisbane-trained physician-scientist who is currently junior faculty on the BMT service at Memorial Sloan Kettering, New York. Her research program is focused on the intersection between transplant immunology and the microbiome. Her talk will review recent findings from the group at MSKCC, discuss recent cGVHD/microbiota findings in more detail, and share some preliminary pre-clinical data regarding the role of microbe-derived short chain fatty acids in alloreactivity.
