Technology Transfer
The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute’s dedicated basic and clinical scientists are driving innovative programs aimed at developing new approaches to the prevention and treatment of:
- Cancer – particularly leukemia, lymphoma and breast cancer
- Immunity – immune regulation, immunotherapy, vaccines
- Autoimmunity – diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, coeliac disease
- Infectious diseases – malaria, chronic infectious diseases
The Institute is committed to translational medicine to ensure patient benefits It has a strong track record of successful collaborative development projects with some of the most respected names from both the private and public sectors.

Technology Transfer Collaborations
WEHI’s discovery pipeline is fed by more than 250 projects. A new patent application is filed every three weeks and the Institute’s intellectual property is the subject of more than 40 clinical trials currently being conducted worldwide.
