Details of project

To be agreed by supervisor and student depending on the student's interests and skills and the data sets available. Projects in my lab usually have a mathematics and bioinformatics research component together with a collaborative component involving cancer or immunological medical research. Key current interests are analysis of RNA-Seq and ChIP-Seq data arising from new deep sequencing technologies. Students should have a mathematics, statistics or computer science background equivalent to an undergraduate major in one of these subjects.

Research interests

Statistical bioinformatics, gene expression, regulation of gene expression, cancer and stem cells.
