Research Overview
Before joining the WEHI Proteomics Laboratory as a data analyst, I worked over 14 years in the Joint Proteomics Facility (JPSF) where I contributed to many collaborations between scientists at the Ludwig Institute or Walter and Eliza Hall Institute.
My area of expertise is the analysis of mass spectrometric data, and as a research technician I am involved in the fee-for-service component of the WEHI Proteomics Lab. My role is to use algorithms such as Mascot to analyse mass spec data and send out QC reports and Scaffold results files.
I can also offer a more detailed analysis to validate the data within Scaffold, perform extended expert analyses which involve de novo interpretation of MS/MS data or manual trawling where we attempt to identify and extract as much relevant information from the raw mass spec data as possible.
