Genome Mapping Data

Much of the mapping and STS data presented at this site was generated by a consortium of research laboratories in the United Kingdom, the USA and Australia. These genome studies were supported by funds supplied by the Wellcome Trust

• Listing of mapped Yacs

  This provides a listing of all Yac clones to which STSs have been assigned. It lists the libraries from which the Yac was isolated and any STSs which have been found to be within that Yac.

• Chromosome Specific STSs

  This provides a list of STSs sorted by chromosome number and the primers needed to generate the STSs by PCR. The number at the end of each line is the size of the PCR product generated by the listed primer pairs

• All STSs

  This list shows all STSs identified within the project and the primers needed to generate the STS by PCR

  Data in Filemaker Pro format

  This file lists all available data on YACs, STS, chromosome assignment and other details. To read this data, you need a copy of FileMaker Pro version 2.1 or later for Windows or the Macintosh.

• The chromosome probe list tells you about known chromosome markers for the 14 chromosomes of P. falciparum. The list is cross-referenced to the database and the probe-researcher list so that you can identify a researcher who can supply you with an appropriate probe.

• List of expressed sequence tags of Plasmodial genes These are included in annotnuc.dat but are separately listed here with BLAST search results for each EST.
