Members are invited to contribute new information in one of the many areas of interest to our Society as a poster (discussion) presentation or via the traditional route of a 10-minute oral presentation with five minutes allowed for discussion. For both types of presentation, abstracts must be submitted on diskette with three accompanying hard copies. Additional instructions follow, including a form for requesting your disk.
It is anticipated that the format of this meeting will be as in the 1994 meeting; an opening reception Friday evening, November 17, 1995, with scientific sessions beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, November 18, and concluding on Tuesday, November 21 at 1:30 p.m.
Meeting and hotel reservation forms and local information will be mailed separately to all ASTMH members later this spring.

If you plan to submit an abstract for the 1995 meeting, you should obtain the software package NOW. THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS IS THURSDAY, JUNE 1. Order your computer program as soon as possible so as to have it available well in advance of the deadline. To obtain your software, please complete and return the form in this brochure. Your program will be mailed as expeditiously as possible. Return the form by fax or mail to:
ASTMH, 60 Revere Drive, Suite 500, Northbrook, IL, 60062, USA.
FAX (708) 480 9282
If you previously used the ASTMH program software, were satisfied with it, and still have it on your hard drive or a floppy disk, you may use it to submit this year's abstract. Simply submit your abstract on diskette with three hard copies and the abstract fee.
NOTE: A $15 abstract submission fee will be charged. This fee will help defray the costs associated with preparing and printing the Program book and operation of the Program Committee. This fee should accompany submission of the abstract, NOT with the form requesting the computer program.
When writing your abstract, please keep the following in mind:
1. The instructions contained on the menu-driven diskette should be followed explicitly.
2. All abstracts will be reviewed by the ASTMH Program Committee. Notification of receipt of abstract, and acceptance and scheduling of your paper is automatic. You should expect notification of receipt of abstract by mid-June and acceptance notification by mid-August. If you have any questions, please call the ASTMH at (708) 480-9592; fax (708) 480-9282.
3. Do not submit more than one abstract per disk; each abstract must be on a separate disk.

Applications must be received no later than June 1, 1995. Final selection will be made and awardees notified by August 1, 1995. Awardees will be recognized at the Plenary Session on Saturday, November 18, 1995.
To be eligible for consideration, the young iiivestigator must have completed the majority of work reported in his or her accepted abstract as a graduate student or during the first two years of postdoctoral study. (For a young scientist with a medical degree, the two years refers to the actual time spent performing research. The time spent as an intern/resident is not considered part of the two years.) Additionally, the young investigator should have had a primary role in the reported experimentation as evidenced by first-author status on the abstract.
If you would like to apply for this award, please submit the enclosed application form with your completed disk and three hard copies of your abstract to ASTMH headquarters by June 1, 1995. Head-quarters will pass noniinations on to the Selection Committee. Also, be sure to indicate that you are applying for this award in the appropriate screen on the disk.
Note: Applicants for the Young Investigator Award must be present at the Hyatt at noon Friday, November, 17, 1995 for a special session to judge their oral or poster presentation. Applicants will also present their work in the regularly scheduled scientific sessions November 18-21. The Young Investigator Award will be presented at the Plenary Session on Saturday, November 18, 1995.
