The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute unveiled its new $185 million facility, welcoming more than 1000 guests to share the institute's achievements.

In his opening speech, institute director Professor Doug Hilton thanked staff, students, collaborators, supporters and donors, he said, "Having an individual or organisation see your potential and be willing to back you is inspirational."
