Honours program
Honours is a fourth-year program which gives you the opportunity to draw together your previous science, biomedical or health science studies and focus your knowledge, skills and intellect on an exciting piece of original research.
Honours course
Our Honours course comprises advanced coursework and a research project which are assessed via written and oral assignments, examinations, reports and presentations.
Honours research projects: 2013 intake
We offer a number of student research project places each year under the institute's research themes of cancer, chronic inflammatory diseases and infectious diseases.

The Walter and Eliza Hall Insitute confers BSc Honours or BBiomed Honours as the Department of Medical Biology in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences (MDHS) of the University of Melbourne.

Students accepted to undertake BSc Honours at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute will be awarded the Alan W Harris Honours Scholarship worth $5,000.
