Storage
The best place to put your FACS data files is the
FACS_DATA area of your Unix K-Share server area. This
can be done from the Macintosh attached to the cytometer. Thence you
may access your data files directly from any Macintosh or PC on the
WEHI network. Users may, of course, write specific data sets to CD or DVD at any
time.
Files created from your sort operations are stored in
your K-share FACS_DATA area.
Analysis
Our 'in house' program for analyzing flow cytometry data is 'WEASEL', which can be installed on your institute Mac
or PC by the computer centre staff. A DIY kit is also available for
home computer installation. Graphics displayed using Weasel can be saved
in PICT format and opened in FREEHAND or other graphics editing programs.
Graphics that are saved using a "Print-to-file" method may
also be read by FREEHAND. Files saved as PostScript may be converted to .pdf using Macintosh's Preview application.
