An addition to the sample input system of a FACS II has increased sample processing speed to better than 120 samples, each of 10,000 cells, per hour. The simple mechanical device requires no sophisticated electronics or separate pumps or pressure sources and has only two moving parts. Adaptation to any flow cytometer should be possible.
